FAQ on New Boiler Installations

There are lots to think about when having a new boiler installed and over the years we’ve heard a lot of the same questions from curious homeowners. We’ve written the following as a quick guide to help answer your commonly asked questions around boiler installation.

Our frequently asked questions on boiler installations

What type of boiler should I have installed?

It depends on your circumstances so there’s no quick answer! If your house isn’t on the mains gas grid this will change your options, but even if it is you may opt for an alternative such as LPG or oil. The most popular boiler we install is gas.

There are also other considerations such as whether to have a combi boiler, a regular boiler or a system boiler. Our team can advise you on the best options for your needs, depending on the size of your house, the number of bathrooms and how much hot water you use.

How much does boiler installation cost?

Prices vary from between £1500 to over £3000 depending on the type and size of boiler and what else is required, for example, a water tank or cylinder. Your engineer will be able to discuss your quote in detail once they have all the information they need.

Are you Gas Safe registered?

Yes. We take your safety seriously, and strongly advise to not let anyone install, service or repair your boiler who does not have this registration.

How long will a boiler installation take?

Approximately two to three days from start to finish. It may take less, but this allows your engineer time to ensure it is done properly, particularly if your old boiler is being removed and other new elements are being installed.

What are the benefits of having a new boiler installed?

A new boiler brings with it many advantages. To name a few, a new boiler works more effectively and reliably so cuts down on call-outs to heating engineers, saving you time and money. It can also reduce your heating bills dramatically due to being more efficient. A new boiler also means you can benefit from the advances in technology, such as SMART thermostats.
