Check your boiler pressure

If the pressure on your boiler is higher, then it needs reducing, which you can do by bleeding your radiators, as above. If the pressure is lower, then it needs repressuring, through the filling loop on your boiler. If the pressure is fluctuating between high and low then you should get it checked by calling a trusted Gas Safe registered heating engineer.
Get your boiler serviced
Servicing your boiler is one of the best ways to keep it healthy. Arranging a service before the winter, such as at the end of summer, can be helpful so you’ll know it’s all ship-shape before the cold weather starts. When you get your boiler serviced, a Gas Safe registered engineer will inspect all the major parts, check everything is working safely and thoroughly clean inside to remove the build-up of dust and debris.
